I write novels, plays, poems and hybrid forms of fiction that explore the intersection of politics and culture. Some of my work is realistic, some is experimental. Some of it is dystopian, some is what I call reality-fantasy. I have done many things over the years, all of them involving writing. I'm a former journalist, speechwriter, communications director, and grantwriting trainer. I'm a reasonably engaging public speaker, so feel free to touch base about that. A variety of my work is posted on Medium.

I have lived in Baltimore, Maryland for over 30 years and it is now my beloved home. Baltimore is a fantastic city in which to live, work, and play. I try to give back by directly supporting local artists, nonprofit cultural organizations, and artistic youths by delivering workshops and as a judge for arts-related programs and contests.
